Chesterfield Police investigating shooting, robbery

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police are investigating a shooting and robbery that occurred on Tuesday evening.

At about 7:00 p.m. on August 11, police responded reports that a man had been shot during a robbery at a home in the 2100 block of Marina Drive.

Police say that the suspect demanded money from the victim and shot him when he did not comply.

As the suspect fled from the scene, he saw another man nearby and robbed him at gunpoint. The victim was not injured.

The victim that was shot was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a Black man, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a black shirt with white stripes, black shorts and white sneakers.
