CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- A 28-year-old Chesterfield man suffered life-threatening injuries in a Friday morning crash on Route 288.
"[The man's] 2000 Subaru Forester was traveling southbound Route 288 when he ran off road right just prior to the [northbound I-95] ramp striking the end cap and guardrail," a Virginia State Police spokesperson said about the trooper's preliminary investigation into the crash."The vehicle then flipped several times. The driver was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle."
Debris in the road following the first crash caused minor damage to other vehicles.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
