CHESTERFIELD, Va. — A 22-year-old employee of Hopewell Public Schools was arrested Monday and charged with distribution of child pornography.
According to Colonial Heights Police Department, detectives executed a search warrant in the 4000 block of Birdbook Drive in Chesterfield around 8 a.m. They were joined by Virginia State Police and members of the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Police said the search warrant was in relation to a child exploitation.
Jonathan Estrada of Chesterfield was taken into custody and charged with five counts of distribution of child pornography. He is being held at Riverside Regional Jail.
Police said at the time of his arrest, Estrada was employed by Hopewell Public Schools as an IT Technician.
