RICHMOND, Va. -- A woman was arrested after a man’s body was discovered outside the entrance of BB&T bank on Washington Street, near Adams Street, in Petersburg.
Dirk Atkins, 55 of Petersburg, was found dead at about 5:31 a.m. on Monday.
"Police began to look for a vehicle involved in the incident and the suspect," a Petersburg Police spokesperson said. "At approximately 11:17 a.m., police located a vehicle and the suspect in the 1000 block of West Wythe Street."
Dawna Harrison, 43, of Petersburg, was arrested and charged with homicide. She is being held at Riverside Regional Jail with no bond.
