CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- A Chesterfield teenager was arrested in connection to the shooting of a 15-year-old inside a Ronaldton Road home Thursday.
Chynekqua J. Walker, 19, of Ronaldton Road, was charged with reckless handling of a firearm, discharging a firearm in an occupied dwelling, and obstructing justice, according to Chesterfield Police.
Officers were called to the house at about 6 p.m. for a shooting. When officers arrived, they found the 14-year-old victim.
“[The15-year-old victim] was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and at this time we are not looking for any suspects," Lt. James Lamb said.
Walker was detained at the scene.
Her relationship with the 15-year-old victim was not immediately disclosed.
