Another Richmond judge removes himself from Robert E. Lee case

RICHMOND, Va. -- Another Richmond Circuit Court judge has been removed from one of the two lawsuits seeking to stop the removal of the Robert E. Lee statue on Monument Avenue – and this time it’s the judge who lives in the neighborhood.

Judge Bradley Cavedo on Wednesday recused himself from a deed dispute filed last month by William C. Gregory, who claims to be a descendant of the family that sold the land on which the Lee Monument sits to the state in the late 1800s. Click here to continue reading on Richmond BizSense.
