RICHMOND, Va. -- Police arrested a Richmond man accused of killing his mother.
John Chillum, 26, was arrested in connection to the April 21 death of his mother, 55-year-old Melissa Paige.
"At approximately 6:26 p.m., officers were called to the 3500 block of East Broad Rock Road for a report of a person down. Officers arrived and found Paige, in a structure, down and unresponsive, suffering from injuries from an assault," a Richmond Police spokesperson wrote in an email. "The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death."
