Teen killed in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. -- Police identified a teenager shot and killed in Richmond.

Jaheim Wilkes, 18, was found near a parked car along the 2100 block of Fairfield Avenue at about 2:13 a.m. on Sunday. Police were called to the neighborhood to investigate a shooting.

"[Wilkes] was transported to a local hospital where yesterday morning he succumbed to his injury," a Richmond Police spokesperson wrote in an email. "The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death."
