CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- More than $20,000 of tools stolen from a construction site at a Chesterfield Middle School were recovered on Tuesday.

Chesterfield Police spent hours at a home in the Mason Woods neighborhood Tuesday, serving a warrant from their property crimes division.

After peering into a backyard on Mason Valley Drive, detectives loaded up a box truck full of stolen goods - and had to return to get another.

Generators, power tools and other yard equipment were confiscated, and the home's resident was placed under arrest. Police say more than $20,000 of equipment was recovered.

Neighbors say that every Sunday, the man loaded up the goods and took them to the flea market to sell.
