HENRICO COUNTY, Va. – Police are searching for two suspects after a man was shot during an attempted armed robbery in Henrico County earlier this month.

Police say the incident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on April 16.

Investigators say a male victim walked past a group of people gathered behind the 3500 block of Bolling Road. Two men from that group followed the victim on foot to the 3400 block of Oxnard Road and assaulted him, police added.

“One of the suspects pointed a firearm at the victim and demanded his money,” said a police spokesperson. “The suspect eventually shot the victim, striking him in the hand. The two suspects then ran off toward Harvie Road.”

The suspects are both described as being 5’9’’ to 5’11’’, average build, and both 18 to 21 years old.

Police say the gunman was wearing a white t-shirt, light colored pants, and had a fuzzy flat top haircut. The second suspect was wearing a white t-shirt, dark colored pants, and had short hair.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Detective D. R. Paul with Henrico County Police at 501-4894 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 780-1000 or www.7801000.com.
