Officers hear 'random gunfire,' find 2 men shot in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. -- After officers reported hearing random gunfire in East Richmond, police found two men suffering from gunshot wounds Sunday evening, according to Richmond Police.

It happened around 7:50 p.m. along the 1300 block of Coalter Street in the Mosby Court public housing neighborhood.

The victims were transported to an area hospital with injuries that were described as not life-threatening, according to police.

Police said dispatchers also received several calls about the gunfire.

No suspect information was available at last check.
