Lanes reopen after ‘Police activity’ creates I-95 traffic backups

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. — All lanes are now open on Interstate 95 south after police activity closed the right lane Colonial Heights, according to VDOT.

“The right lane is closed near mile marker 56 (two miles south of Woods Edge Rd.) due to police activity,” the VDOT alert read. “The left and center lanes are currently open.”

Traffic in the area was backed up two miles, and drivers can expect residual delays.
