CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- The car of a Chesterfield County mother, who was feeding her infant last month when it was stolen, has been recovered after a police chase this weekend.
Michae Joyner’s 2014 Nissan Sentra was stolen outside her North Chesterfield home during an early morning baby feeding on October 26.
"I got up and looked out of my window and said, “Oh my god, my car is gone” and that was like 2:40 a.m," said the Chesterfield mom last month.
About one month after the theft, Joyner's car has been found and two arrests have been made.
Over the weekend, 19-year-old Keondre Smith and a half-dozen other juveniles were allegedly spotted in her stolen car and a short chase was on. The Sentra ended up wrecked, before the teens ditched the vehicle.
Richmond Police detained Smith and one juvenile, but a handful of others are still on the run.
There is no word if Smith was involved in the original car theft, but he has been charged with eluding, receiving stolen goods and other traffic infractions.
He has been released on bond.
