RICHMOND, Va. -- Work was scheduled to begin Wednesday on the East Main Street/Route 5 bridge in east Richmond.
The bridge will be closed to traffic so work crews can replace the structure.
The road will remain open to local traffic.
Drivers can use a short detour to bypass the work.
