CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — UPDATE: A Chester teen accused of throwing eggs at cars traveling on I-95 in August had the charges brought against him dropped Friday.
The charges against Nathaniel M. Haskins were dismissed by the prosecution in court Friday.
He was originally charged with throwing missiles at occupied vehicles.
The second suspect in the case, Stephen A. Garrett, the driver during the alleged incident, is still facing the same charges in connection with the case.
He is scheduled to appear in court in February.
2 men charged with throwing eggs at cars traveling on I-95
Police busted two adult males for throwing eggs from an overpass at vehicles traveling on Interstate 95.
At about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 2400 block of Old Bermuda Hundred Road.
Police had received a report that two people were seen getting into and out of the vehicle. When the responding officer arrived in the area, the vehicle appeared to be unoccupied, and the officer continued to search the area for the occupants.

That officer then saw the vehicle begin to move, and another officer initiated a traffic stop on the driver.
Through investigation, police determined that the driver, an adult male, and another adult male who was no longer at the scene had been throwing eggs off the overpass at vehicles traveling on Interstate 95.
Several vehicles were hit, but the damage was minimal.
"Awful to be doing something like that… They should have a job to get ready to go to that early, not out on the interstate throwing eggs," said Jim Eaton, who lives near the overpass.
The driver, Stephen A. Garrett, 19, of the 1600 block of White Mountain Drive, was charged with throwing missiles at occupied vehicles.
Police obtained a warrant for the other suspect involved, Nathaniel M. Haskins, 18, of the 14400 block of Woodland Hill Drive, for the same charge.
Haskins responded to the jail this morning to have the warrant served.
Crime expert Steve Neal says the charges are very serious for a crime that could have had life changing results.
"Think about it, you have someone going down the road at interstate speed and all of the sudden their windshield has egg splatter,” he said. “It can cause them to panic, swerve into the next lane… leaving someone dead or seriously injured."
