RICHMOND, Va. -- Hot and muggy weather will continue for a few more days. Highs on Thursday afternoon will reach the low and mid 90s, but the humidity will make it feel near or a bit above 100°.

A disturbance from the west will cause some widely scattered storms into this evening. Any storm that does develop will produce heavy downpours. Thursday night will be muggy with lows in the 70s.

It will be a few degrees hotter Friday and Saturday with highs in the mid to upper 90s.

The heat index will surpass 105° in some locations in the hottest part of the day.

A few isolated storms are possible Friday afternoon, but there’s a slightly better chance of a few scattered storms on Saturday as a cold front moves into the area.

Behind the front, it will less humid Sunday with highs in the upper 80s to around 90°. The heat will decrease slightly on Monday and Tuesday with highs in the mid to upper 80s. It will be more humid with highs in the 90s for the middle and end of next week.
