Bus driver charged for crashing before school

RICHMOND, Va. — A school bus driver was charged with failure to yield right-of-way after a morning crash in South Richmond.

Witnesses said the bus driver ran a stop sign at Lynhaven and Wright Avenues, off Jeff Davis Highway, and hit another car.

The children on the school bus at the time of the crash were not hurt, a Richmond Police spokesperson said.

The crash was reported at about 7:01 a.m.
