HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — The newest Zaxby’s restaurant in the Richmond area is set to open in April, but before that opening the restaurant is looking to hire at least 40 area employees.
The casual restaurant will be one of five locations in the area, with this one located at 9110 Staples Mill Road in Henrico County. In February, Zaxby’s opened their first Richmond location at 5816 W. Broad St., about a mile west of Willow Lawn.
“We’re still hiring more than 40 team members from the local community who also share in our passion for the brand and belief in the quality product,” said Ryan Converse, licensee of the Richmond store. “This location will have a much larger dining room than our other Richmond store so we hope that will encourage more guests to come in and dine with us. I have personally experienced the career growth potential that can come from working at a Zaxby’s location and I hope to provide my staff with those same opportunities.”

The new 3,500-square-foot restaurant will include Zaxby’s unique interior, seating for 90 and also a drive-thru to meet the needs of customers on the go.
The Athens, Georgia based restaurant chain operates more than 700 restaurants in 16 states along the Southeast U.S., specializing in chicken wings, chicken fingers, sandwiches, salads and more.
There are also three additional Zaxby locations planned for the area. One is in the works for Chesterfield County at 901 Walmart Way, across from Sam’s Club. There is also another location planned for Henrico County.
Although no exact opening date has been released, Zaxby’s said they will celebrate its grand opening by giving away a Fanatic Pack of 52 Free Dealz, meaning a free item at Zaxby’s each week for a year to the first 100 guests.
