Wanted woman told Chesterfield bank teller to ‘freeze’

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Police released several photos of a woman wanted for attempting to rob a Chesterfield bank. The woman entered the Wells Fargo bank at 10831 Midlothian Turnpike at about 10:10 a.m. on Wednesday.

“[She] approached a teller and said she needed money. When the teller offered to get the manager, the suspect told the teller to ‘Freeze, and not to call police,” a police spokeswoman said. “The suspect soon left without receiving any money. No weapon was displayed during the incident.”

The woman was described as a white female in her 40s. She was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt with a blue hood and jeans.

“She was carrying a brown bag with some green inside it,” police added.
