NEWPORT NEWS, Va. --  A man known simply as "CC" is considered by locals to be the BEST Salvation Army bell ringer in Virginia. After you hear the song he sang to Kristin Millslagle after she made a donation, you'll soon understand what makes CC so popular.

"You can not help but smile and feel the spirit of the season when you encounter him," Millslagle said. "His voice can be heard clear across parking lots, singing Christmas carols (his own versions) with such fun and sincerity. Anyone you ask will tell you how they love him!"

Some people consider CC a Christmastime tradition, she said.

"People have been showering him with gifts or going to see him for the first time since I posted [the video]," she said. "That's the spirit if the season."

You can catch CC outside the Farm Fresh off Victory Boulevard in Newport News.
