SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. — Detectives investigating the death of Heather Ciccone released images of her  car with the hopes someone saw the vehicle and could provide clues into the young woman’s murder. Ciconne,21, was found shot to death Sunday night in the front seat of a car parked outside a Spotsylvania home on Piney Branch Road. Police said the home and the people who live there were not connected to the murder.

“The Criminal Investigations Division would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the vehicle on Sunday December 06, 2015 between the hours of 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.,” the Sheriff’s Office posted online. “If you have ANY information please contact Crime Solvers!!”

The Ciconne family has asked anyone with information about Heather’s death to come forward and share that information with investigators.

“Help us find the person who did this,” her older sister Courtney said. “They took someone from us.”

Police hope that people who saw the car between 9 and 11 p.m. that night can help investigators determine where she was going or coming from. Police are also hoping there may be surveillance video of the vehicle traveling through the area.

The family believed Heather was killed by another woman with whom she had been in the midst of a feud. Her family said the former Chancellor High School student had recently been getting death threats from the woman.

Anyone with information was asked to call Spotsylvania Crime Stoppers at 540-582-5822.
