Richmond police find murder victim in ditch

RICHMOND, Va. — Richmond police are investigating the city’s latest homicide after an overnight shooting.

Someone flagged down officers after they heard gunshots fired in the 4600 block of Southwood Parkway at a nearby apartment complex around 3:30 am Saturday morning.

Police later found the body of a Hispanic man lying in a drainage ditch nearby.

Investigators have not released the victim’s name pending family notification.
