Woman killed in Richmond lived near woods where body was found

RICHMOND, Va. -- Police identified the woman whose body was found in a wooded area of South Richmond Monday morning as 33-year-old Ashley Davis. Davis, who lived along the 1000 block of Finchley Place, was found in the woods across the parking lot from the apartment building where she lived, police said.

Police found Davis after they were called to Finchley Place, in the St. John's Wood community near German School and Jahnke roads, for a report of shots fired just after midnight Monday morning. Police have not yet released details about a possible shooting suspect.
