RICHMOND, Va. — Police have released the name of the man killed in an early morning motorcycle crash in Richmond Saturday.
Investigators said the 52-year-old John R. Bishop, of the 5000 block of Oriole Avenue in Chesterfield, died after he lost control and crashed head-on into a utility pole on Hull Street Road near the 14th Street bridge around 1 a.m.
Bishop died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
