HANOVER, Va. — A Richmond man was killed after two vehicles collided head-on in the Mechanicsville area this afternoon.

43-year-old Tyrone Davis was driving south on Cold Harbor Drive around 3:30 p.m. when he crossed over the double solid line, said  Major Mike Trice. His car entered the northbound land land and hit a Ford F350 van.

Davis and the driver of the van were both transported to the hospital, where Davis was pronounced dead. The other driver has since been released from the hospital.

“We ask that the family and friends of Tyrone Davis be in your thoughts and prayers,” Trice said.

The crash is still under investigation.
