RICHMOND, Va. -- A missing man was found alive on Belle Isle in Richmond early Friday morning. Police and fire crews started to search the James River near Belle Isle after midnight Friday when a woman called 911 to report the man she was with had disappeared. She was concerned he had fallen into the water.
A helicopter was called in to aid in the search for the man.
The man was found at about 1:30 a.m. on the south side of Belle Isle near the old Vepco power plant. EMS crews evaluated the man at the scene. His condition was not released.
