Henrico Police Officer believes someone shot at him

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. – A Henrico Police Officer said he believed someone fired a gun at him Saturday night. The officer was in his cruiser at the corner of Cool Lane and Mechanicsville Turnpike at around 8:40 Saturday night when he heard the shot, according to Henrico Police spokesman Lt. A.M. Mehfoud.

The officer did not see the shooter, he just heard the gunshot, officials said. There was no damage to the officer's vehicle. This investigation is ongoing and there was no suspects information to release.
