CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va -- A man was taken to the hospital after he accidentally shot himself in the hand while unloading his gun in a Chesterfield motel room, according to Chesterfield Police. The incident happened at about 1 a.m. Monday, at the VIP Inn off Willis Road near Interstate 95.
Friends took the man to Chippenham Hospital. He suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
