HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- A 10-year-old boy with a rare form of muscular dystrophy is having his wish granted thanks to Make-A-Wish® Greater Virginia. Jack Ridolphi celebrated his upcoming family trip to Disney World with a special send-off party Tuesday night at Maggiano’s Little Italy®. Jack, who has Duchenne muscular dystrophy, has not stopped talking about his special night, his parents said.

Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia CEO Sheri Lambert said she hoped Jack's wish-come-true provided him some hope, strength and joy while he battled his condition.

"Wish experiences, like Jack’s, are powerful and carry lifelong benefits for both the wish child and family," she said.

Maggiano’s workers said they were honored to play a part in making the night special for Jack.

"We are thrilled for the opportunity to support the wonderful work of Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia and to help make Jack’s wish celebration an unforgettable experience," Jim Aman, general manager of Maggiano’s Little Italy in Richmond, said.
