Posted

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Police charged a Henrico teen following a stabbing at Cheswick Park in Henrico’s West End. Drew Zachory Brown, 19, was charged with malicious wounding, according to Henrico Police. Police were called to the park Sunday afternoon after a 17-year-old boy said he had been stabbed by someone walking through the park.

“Police located a juvenile victim suffering from one stab wound to each leg. The victim stated he was stabbed by a white male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans while walking through the park,” Henrico Police spokesman Lt. Chris Eley said. “The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.”

Those injuries were considered non-life threatening, police said. Police said they believed the teen knew his attacker, but added the victim would not cooperate with the investigation.
