HANOVER COUNTY, Va. — A 911 hangup brought investigators to a Hanover home late Tuesday night. Inside the New Bethesda Road home, Hanover Sheriff’s deputies found an injured Thomas King. King, 58, had been stabbed, according to investigators. He was taken to the hospital where he later died due to his wounds.
“Investigators have arrested 63-year-old Toni S. Gohagan for the murder of Thomas King,” Hanover Sheriff’s Office spokesman Major Mike Trice wrote in an email. “King and Gohagan were longtime companions and resided at the New Bethesda Road location together.”

“Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident and will be consulting with the Commonwealth’s Attorney in the upcoming prosecution,” Trice said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Mr. King.”
