RICHMOND, Va. – Firefighters are battling a blaze that broke out at a home in Richmond’s Northside near Battery Park Wednesday evening.
Crews were dispatched around 6:20 p.m. after a neighbor spotted smoke coming from a home in the 2800 block of DuPont Circle.
When firefighters arrived, they found black smoke coming from the house.
Officials said no one was inside the home when the fire broke out in the home’s attic on the second floor.
Just after 7 p.m., the Richmond Fire Department tweeted that the fire was marked under control.
No one was injured. There has been no word yet on the extent of the damages or how many people may have been displaced.
