Police search for hit-and-run driver who brought down power lines

RICHMOND, Va. -- Police are looking for the driver who drove into a power pole along the 3500 block of Hopkins Road in South Richmond and then ran away from the crash scene early Friday morning.

The impact of the crash knocked power lines onto Hopkins Road.

No one was seriously hurt, but a second car had to stop on Hopkins due to debris in the roadway.

The crash and clean up closed Hopkins Road between Jeff Davis Highway and Holly Springs Avenue for several hours Friday morning. The road reopened by 6 a.m.
