HENRICO COUNTY, Va. – A 31-year-old Henrico sheriff's deputy is facing a felony charge for allegedly having sex with an inmate.
True Asia Daniels was charged with having carnal knowledge of an inmate.
Sheriff Mike Wade said it allegedly happened in the medical section of the Henrico jail where the Daniels was assigned.
Wade said this came to light when an inmate overheard the accused and an inmate a talking about the pitfalls of having a closeted relationship.
Daniels, who Wade said would be fired, is scheduled to appear in court again on Sept. 18.
