CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. – A man with a knife tied-up a Cigarette Express worker before stealing cigarettes and cash, Chesterfield Police said.
The crime happened inside the Oxbridge Square Shopping Center store at 9905 Hull Street Road at about 5:40 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22.
“The suspect entered the business and browsed for several minutes before approaching the clerk,” Chesterfield Police wrote in an email. “The suspect displayed a knife and forced the clerk into a back room, where he bound the clerk. The suspect then stole cigarettes and cash from the business.”
No one was hurt during the robbery, police said.
Police described the suspect as a black male, 25-29 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds.
“He was wearing a black, long-sleeved, button-down shirt, black cargo pants and a black hat,” police said. “He was unshaven and was wearing sunglasses.”
