One shot, one assaulted in Richmond’s Southside

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- Police responded to gunshots on 14th Street near Decatur Street in South Richmond just before 1 a.m. Saturday.

Officers discovered a 22-year-old male who had been assaulted and a 25-year-old female who suffered a gunshot wound.

The female victim was transported to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening wounds.

Richmond police are looking for a suspect described as around six feet tall, dark-skinned black male with a 'long face,' weighing around 150-170 lbs.

The suspect was last seen wearing an orange and white striped shirt and an orange hat.  The victims described the suspect's vehicle as a silver or gold Mitsubishi Galant.
