RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Visitation for the late former Virginia Senator Benjamin Lambert will take place Sunday, March 9 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 909 Rennie Ave., Lambert’s family confirmed to CBS 6 News. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m.
Lambert’s funeral is Monday, March 10, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Baptist Church, located at 4247 Creighton Rd.
U.S. Senator Mark Warner, Richmond Mayor Dwight Jones and former Virginia Governor Doug Wilder are scheduled to speak at Lambert’s funeral.
Lambert, 77, died Sunday morning after an illness. He was the first African-American to serve on the Virginia Senate Finance Committee and served three decades in the General Assembly.
