RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Friday will be another warm and mostly cloudy day, with highs reaching the upper 50s to mid 60s (northern half of Virginia) and mid 60s to mid 70s (southern half of Virginia).

A few showers will be possible off-and-on Friday, but the best chance of rain will hold off until after dark.

A strong cold front will move through the area Friday night, bringing a good chance of rain to the area, followed by much colder air.

The best rain chances will occur along and behind this cold front in Richmond between 10 p.m. Friday and 4 a.m. Saturday.

Most of the rain will be southeast of Richmond by sunrise, which bodes well for the Dominion Christmas Parade from the Science Museum of Virginia Saturday morning.

It will still be breezy and cold, so dress in layers and prepare for cold wind chills in the mid to upper 30s.
