RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - The City of Richmond is offering free meals this summer to anyone 18-year-old and younger. The city’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities’ Summer Meals for Kids is available at 120 sites around town. There is no prior registration required to take part in the program -- just show up!
“With this program, there is no reason for any young person to be hungry this summer,” Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities director Dr. Norman C. Merrifield said in a statement,
Breakfast is served Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Lunch is served from noon to 1 p.m.
