HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - Henrico crash team investigators are working to figure out how a car hit the Walgreens on West Broad Street at Libbie Avenue in Henrico's near West End.
Witnesses said they saw the driver heading east along West Broad Street when she made a u-turn at Libbie and drove into the drug store's parking lot about 9:00 a.m.
Witnesses said the driver hit the building without slowing down much.
"The vehicle came to rest after striking a brick support beam and propane gas cage," Henrico Police Lt. Kenneth Sperry wrote in an email.
Sperry said the driver, a woman in her 20's, was taken to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Our crew on scene said workers were allowed back into the building after the store was inspected by the county.
