CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- 2020 doesn’t seems like it’s ready to leave us just yet. Saturday’s top 25 match up between UVA and Virginia Tech, only the fifth time in the series history both teams come in ranked, has been postponed due to a positive COVID test within the Virginia program.

It’s the second time this season the Cavaliers has paused basketball activities because of a positive test. The Cavaliers already lost games against Michigan State and Villanova because of COVID issues.

There is no word on when the game against Virginia Tech will be rescheduled.

UVA is scheduled to play Wake Forest at the JPJ next Wednesday. Their first game, scheduled for Dec. 16, was postponed because of a positive COVID test within Wake’s program.
