Utility relief assistance available for Henrico families facing economic hardship

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Henrico residents who are facing economic hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic can now apply for utility relief assistance.

The COVID‐19 Municipal Utility Relief Program provides financial assistance to Henrico residents with delinquent utility bills.

Henrico County is offering the program to residents using CARES ACT funding.

Customers whose water and sewer bills are more than 30 days overdue because of economic hardship can apply for financial relief. The delinquent charges must be for water and sewer use between Mar. 1, 2020 and Dec. 30, 2020.

Applications must be received by Friday, Jan. 22, 2021.
