RICHMOND, Va. -- The National, a music venue in downtown Richmond, has closed as COVID-19 spreads throughout Virginia.
"Due to the recent large gatherings mandate by the Commonwealth of Virginia, shows at The National have been impacted, and The National will be closed until the date(s) specified by local officials, subject to ongoing reassessment," a statement on the venue's website read. "Our hope is that we are able to reschedule as many of the affected events as possible, but at this time there is no information on new dates. When a new date is announced, there is nothing you need to do: your tickets are valid for the new date and you will be notified."
Refunds would automatically be added to credit cards if shows could not be rescheduled once the moratorium is lifted.
The National advised if a show could not be rescheduled, refunds would be automatically issued to your credit card.
