CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Police are investigating a shooting in Chesterfield County late Friday night that left a woman critically injured.
Officers were called to the 10900 block of Midlothian Turnpike around 11:30 p.m. for a report of a subject that had been shot in her vehicle.
"Once on scene, officers located an adult female victim suffering from a gunshot wound," Lt. M.R. Dunn with Chesterfield Police said. "The victim was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries."
No suspect information nor additional details were available at last check.
"Police continue to investigate this incident," Dunn said.
