Walmart plans to hire more than 4,300 associates in Virginia by the end of May

RICHMOND, Va. -- Walmart plans to hire more than 4,300 associates in Virginia by the end of May.

The hirings are a response to a strong demand in Walmart stores in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic and the company has said they plan to hire 150,000 new associated nationwide to work in stores, clubs, distribution centers and fulfillment centers.

The superstore is also providing more than $365 million in cash bonuses to hourly workers in the US. and quarterly bonuses for associates will be paid out a month early.
