Officer finds missing non-verbal New Jersey man in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. -- A missing 32-year-old New Jersey man was found safe in Richmond by a police officer Saturday morning.

Police said a First Precinct officer found Tristan Wright in the Mechanicsville Turnpike area.

"Detectives wish to thank the media for their coverage and thank the public for the many tips and calls they provided which assisted in locating Wright," police said. .

Police said Friday that authorities believed Wright was near the Greyhound Bus terminal on North Arthur Ashe Boulevard in Richmond.

"Wright suffers from a medical condition and is non-verbal so there is a concern for his safety," police said at the time.
