KING AND QUEEN COUNTY, Va. -- A driver has been charged in a King and Queen County crash that killed a Hanover County man Wednesday afternoon.

Virginia State Police were called to the 13200 block of Route 360 around 2:30 p.m. , Sgt. Dylan Davenport said.

"A 1998 Honda GL1500SE was turning from Route 360 East to Route 721 North (Newtown Road) when it was struck by a 2011 Ford F150 traveling west on Route 360," Davenport said.

Troopers said the motorcyclist, 81-year-old Ronald Caudell of Hanover, died at the scene.

Caudell was wearing a helmet according to state police.

The driver of the pickup, 45-year-old Jason Fox of Tappahannock, was not hurt, Davenport said.

Fox was charged with reckless driving, and failure to obey a traffic signal, Davenport said.

No additional details were released Thursday.
