RICHMOND, Va. -- The Richmond Police Department is investigating the deaths of two 24-year-olds who were involved in a single-vehicle wreckWednesday morning.
Around 1:17 a.m., RPD officers were dispatched near the intersection of Forest Hill and Semmes Avenues for reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, police found a vehicle that had left the roadway at the bridge over Reedy Creek in the 3600 block of Forest Hill Avenue and come to rest on an embankment at the creek.
Cinque Johnson, 24, of Richmond was pronounced dead at the scene and two others in the car were transported to a local hospital. Larry Branch, Jr, 24, of Richmond died while at the hospital. The other man is in serious but stable condition.
In addition to the injuries they received in the crash, the three men appear to have been shot.
