RICHMOND, Va. -- A retired Richmond Police Department K-9 crossed the rainbow bridge last Friday.
Sophie was 15 years old, according to posts on the Richmond Police Department's social media.
She spent five years as a narcotics K-9 with Richmond Police before retiring in 2014.
Police said Sophie worked with several of their K-9 officers during her career, and even attended several of their K-9 events after she retired.
