Police identify woman killed in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond Police have identified a woman killed on Chamberlayne Avenue Tuesday as Estelle D. Pugh.

Officers were called to an apartment in the 3600 block of Chamberlayne Avenue for the report of a person down at approximately 8:22 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers located Pugh, described as a woman in her 60s, suffering from trauma. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Medical Examiner will determine the exact case and manner of death.
